Offering ring side seats on the banks of the Great Ruaha River, there is no better location to be in Ruaha National Park. Set on one of the most stunning stretches of the Great Ruaha River, you can see game throughout the day from the comfort of your veranda; there can surely be few other camps as perfectly situated. Ruaha is split across two locations, with one dining banda along the river, and the other perched high on a nearby kopje, offering a completely different perspective.
Ruaha River Lodge is made up of two main areas and 24 stone-and-thatch chalets or bandas spread along the bank of the river. They are well spaced apart to allow a feeling of privacy and they are extremely spacious, with twin, double or triple rooms, a sitting area and writing desk. Stone floors and gauze windows allow the cool breeze to flow through.
Guided game drives are offered by the lodge. These most often take the form of early morning and late afternoon drives, when the animals are most active, but full day game drives can also be arranged.

This is also the calving season for various antelopes which means predators such as the black maned lions of the Kalahari will be lurking nearby.
